Data sources and licences
Treatyway copies public records. It does not invent a field that the source did not publish. Listings are unclaimed.
Overture Maps Places
Place names, categories, addresses, phones, websites, and confidence come from Overture Maps Places release 2026-10-21.0. The release is licensed under the Community Data License Agreement – Permissive, Version 2.0. Each listing keeps the GERS id and the licence named on that record. County comes from the US Census Bureau county polygon, which is public domain. OpenStreetMap was not used for those records.
A point for each recorded street address comes from the Census geocoder. Where Census had no match, the point comes from OpenStreetMap under the Open Database License. © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Foursquare
Some Overture rows were sourced from Foursquare and transformed into the Overture schema. Those rows are Apache License 2.0 and carry this notice.
AllThePlaces
Some Overture rows name AllThePlaces as a source. Those contributions are CC0 1.0. The licence on each Overture record is what that record carries.
Directory count
On 2026-10-30 the public directory went from 387 listings to 382. Five rows were removed: Carrillo's Cleaning Services (a duplicate of Carrillos Janitorial Supply), Extreme Janitorial (a duplicate of Extreme Janitors), Bay Area Parent Leadership Action Network (a nonprofit), Hedge Coffee (not a caterer), and Impressive Wrap SF (a vehicle wrap shop in the wrong category). Robertson Machine Inc. was added.
DataSF
San Francisco listings are kept only when they match an active registration in Registered Business Locations from the City and County of San Francisco. That dataset is published under the Open Data Commons Public Domain Dedication and License (PDDL). Registered with SF (DataSF) means the normalized name and the street address matched an active registration whose location is still open. The date shown is the check date. The business account number is the registry id. The ownership name is not copied, because a sole proprietor is a person.
